I am a BACP registered counsellor with experience of working with adults and young people.  I use a person-centred/integrative approach, which means I work with each individual client in the best way for them.

  • Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling – accredited by the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists)
  • Bereavement training (Cruse)
  • Current enhanced DBS certificate
  • BA (English), Sheffield University

Further training in mental health issues, experience working with adults of all ages on various issues, young people and bereaved clients in the voluntary sector.  Also extensive experience of working with adolescents and young adults with learning needs as a mentor.

As a counsellor I can provide a safe, confidential and respectful space in which we work together to explore the difficulties you are facing. This may be a new experience for you if you have never talked to anyone outside the family.  It can be very helpful to look at issues with someone impartial and to be able to express how you really feel, as well as talking through ways forward.

I may be able to help you with:

Life crises such as bereavement, illness, pregnancy, divorce

Stress, anxiety, depression

Relationships with family, friends, work colleagues

Self-esteem issues
