INTEGRAL YOGA
Integral Yoga combines various methods of Yoga including Hatha (physical) Yoga, breathing practices, relaxation techniques and meditation. The benefits of yoga affect not only the physical aspect of the body but address the mind and spirit as well. Some of the benefits can be flexibility, stress relief, pain relief, better breathing, increased strength, improved circulation, focus on the present and inner peace.
PILATES
Exercising muscles from the inside out rather than the outside in is a good way of describing how Stott Pilates works. By targeting the deepest layers of muscles in the torso (inc. transversus abdominis and the pelvic floor muscle), Stott PilatesĀ® protects the lower back while allowing the body to perform movements with more ease and flexibility.
The originator of the Pilates movement, Joseph Pilates, a German medical professional, was very interested in developing a method to treat and exercise injured soldiers during the First World War. His teachings are still the basis of much of what has become a globally recognised method of building stronger muscles and improving general posture and health.
